SARACENS SET FOR STADIUMMK BOW
stadiummk will play host to rugby union for the first time on Saturday when Saracens play Bristol in the Guiness Premiership.
After its first ever football season which saw MK Dons win an historic league and cup Double, Sarries will be hoping for the same success at stadiummk as they make a one-off appearance at Milton Keynes' footballing home.
Saracens usually play their home games at Watford's Vicarage Road but the Hornets' Championship play-off first leg against Hull on Sunday has resulted in a fixture clash.
Saturday's game will be England World Cup winner Richard Hill's final appearance for Saracens after 15 years with the club and a huge crowd is expected to give the former British Lions flanker a terrific send off.
Saracens CEO Mark Sinderberry said: "While it would have been nice for Richard Hill to finish off his Saracens career at Vicarage Road, after starting it so many years ago at Bramley Road, that won't be possible now."
"We've been planning for this scenario for some time and moving the fixture to Milton Keynes does give us the chance to play at what I believe is one of the best stadiums of its size in the country.
"Last weekend our supporters got to see a great venue in Coventry, and now we get the opportunity to be the first team to play rugby at this impressive ground.
"We know we have a number of season ticket holders who live in the Milton Keynes area and this is a great opportunity to spread the Saracens name and really finish off the season on a high at a fantastic venue."
Tickets for the game will be on sale from the MK Dons Box Office at stadiummk in the coming days. Full details to be confirmed. Tickets can currently be purchased from www.saracens.com
