RAY: DRAW THE LEAST WE DESERVED
Dons number two Ray Mathias said a point against Wycombe was pleasing in the circumstances but he felt his side deserved more from the game.
Sean O'Hanlon produced an equaliser deep into stoppage time after Scott McGleish had twice given Wycombe the lead with goals either side of an Aaron Wilbraham goal.
While the draw extended the Dons lead at the top of League 2, it wasn't enough to secure automatic promotion with Stockport pulling off a victory at Peterborough.
But Mathias felt it was the least Paul Ince's team could have got from a game where they dominated.
He said: "In the circumstances we're pleased with the point but, on the balance of play, I though we deserved more from the game.
"They were in the game in fits and starts but they never really troubled us but they've scored with a speculative shot, a fantastic goal but the lad will never score another like that in his life.
"Credit to the players for showing the character they've showed all season and coming back and getting that goal which I can assure you was deserved.
"I thought we started at a great tempo and that's what we're all about at MK Dons. We got a bit sloppy with our passing later in the first half but once we got into them at half-time I thought we dominated the second half completely.
"We told them at half-time to do the basics. We weren't passing the ball well or holding it up front like we were in the first 25 minutes but credit to the players, I thought they were superb in the second half.
"They're second goal would have deflated a lesser team but we continued to pressurise them and the equaliser was the least we deserved from the game.
"We said all along it's 46 games and I think we're on 42 at this present time so we'll keep working.
"Promotion is our aim but to win the league would be a fantastic achievement and we'll be looking to do that."
