MK Dons cruised into the next round of the LDV Vans Trophy with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Barnet.
First half goals from Aaron Wilbraham and Wade Small, pictured right, were added to by a late Gary Smith strike, and in truth the Dons were never really threatened after the break.
MK Dons boss Danny Wilson made a few changes to his line-up, with the likes of Nathan Koo-Boothe, Leon Crooks, Aaron Wilbraham and David Martin all drafted into the starting 11. On the bench were the likes of Clive Platt, Stephen Quinn and Jason Puncheon.
Just the fact that the game had started was something of a result, given the thick fog which had enveloped the Underhill ground before kick-off.
The Dons had the first chance of the evening when Gareth Edds cracked a shot just wide of the target with his left foot on three minutes.
There was plenty of early pressure from the visitors, looking to extend their winning run to four games.
GOAL: The Dons took the lead on nine minutes when Nicky Rizzo whipped in a free-kick, finding unmarked striker Aaron Wilbraham for a deft header which beat Scott Tynan and flew into the back of the net.
Barnet's first chance came on 17 minutes when Lee Roache linked up with Jason Norville, who ran onto the ball and shot wide of the target.
David Martin had to be out to make a good claim from Nick Bailey's cross from the right on 22 minutes.
Rizzo forced a good stop from Tynan on 25 minutes, Bees defender Charles clearing the rebound under pressure.
Wade Small, playing up front alongside Wilbraham, had a run at goal before trickling a ball across the face of goal in the direction of Kamara, but the ball was turned behind for a corner on 28 minutes.
As the first half neared the end, the fog looked to be clearing, raising hopes that this tie would reach a conclusion on the night.
A powerful header from Norville forced a great save by Martin on 38 minutes, diving to his left to keep the Dons ahead - a great chance from the home side.
GOAL: And one minute later the Dons lead was doubled. Nathan Koo-Boothe spotted a brilliantly timed run from Nicky Rizzo, drove a great pass down the left channel, and the Australian winger sprinted through and slid a pass for Small, who tapped home.
Good interplay between Roache and Lee ended with the striker again bringing out a smart stop from Martin on 42 minutes.

Barnet's Anthony Charles blazed a shot over the crossbar on 51 minutes, and in the act of shooting caught Malvin Kamara with a challenge.
Wade Small was not far away with a header across the face of goal on 55 minutes. Danny Wilson made his first change on 56 minutes by throwing on Nick McKoy as a replacement for Kamara, who was unable to shake off that earlier knock.
Barnet had their moments after the break with a greater share of the possession, but rarely troubled David Martin in the Dons goal in the opening stages.
Martin made a great one-handed save to tip over King's long-range shot on 68 minutes.
Smith's shot brought out a good save from Tynan on 77 minutes as the Dons looked to extend their lead after good link-up play between Smith and Small.
On 77 minutes Wilson made another change when Small was taken off for Stephen Quinn.
GOAL: Wilbraham, pictured above left with Smith, capitalised on some poor defending to help set up the move which secured the win on 89 minutes. He played in Quinn who progressed into the box and laid the ball in for Smith, who stroked the ball into the net.
Rizzo was replaced by Jason Puncheon in the dying moments as the clock wore down to its conclusion.
