LIVE: MK DONS 0 BARNET 1 CLOCKWATCH
FULL-TIME - MK DONS 0 BARNET 1
Dons are beaten at home for the fourth time at home this season as Barnet hold on for a win that can only be described as an upset.
As has been the case in home games for the Dons this season, the opposition made life difficult for Paul Ince's men and packed the defence to the frustration of the home support.
But Barnet had earned the right to defend a lead thanks to Ismail Yakubu's 21st-minute goal, lifting former Don Jason Puncheon's cross into the roof of the net to send a great number of travelling supporters wild.
Try as they did to salvage something, the Dons were unable to break down a dogged Bees defence. Keith Andrews went close with a header on 71 minutes and Drissa Diallo saw an effort clawed out by Rob Beckwith late on.
90+5mins - Diallo gets in behind down the right this time, he tries to lob Beckwith who claws it out and Andrews heads the loose ball wide. So close.
90+4mins - Wright and Wilbraham scrap for a long ball forward, it breaks to Andrews 20 yards out but he doesn't get over his half volley and it flies over.
90+3mins - Gueret's long ball forward is headed down by Broughton and Yakubu blocks Cameron so his goalkeeper can collect.
90+1mins - There's a big break in play as Bishop gets treatment for a head wound. Four minutes added. Beckwith catches the corner beyond the far post.
90mins - Dons loading the pressure on Barnet here as first Andrews and then Lewington drop balls into the Bees' box. Wilbraham and Broughton fight for it as the crowd beg for a goal and Barnet scramble behind for a corner.
88mins - Lewington drops another free-kick into the Barnet box but as Beckwith spills it, Broughton is blocked by Yakubu and the 'keeper recovers.
87mins - Bishop nearly produces a stunning second for Barnet as his curling shot goes fractionally wide of Gueret's top corner.
84mins - O'Hanlon's ball forward is flicked on by Wilbraham, Wright drags it into the box before pulling the ball back but Cameron is blocked by a sea of black and gold shirts.
82mins - Cameron works some space for Johnson to cross from the left but his inswinging ball is too close to Beckwith and he catches as Andrews closes in.
80mins - Akurang is booked for going in late and high on Navarro. The Dons man limps away though keen to get on with it.
78mins - Wilbraham is left flat out after a challenging with Gillet for a ball in the air. Assistant referee Rayner sees no foul though.
77mins - Final change for the Dons as Luke Howell, who has been excellent this afternoon, is sacrificed for another striker in Drewe Broughton.
75mins - Navarro sold a little short as the Dons look to load the box and Nicolau slides in to beat him to it. Akurang can't hold the ball up front and the referee comes back for a foul by Navarro. Very frustrating for the Dons supporters.
72mins - Carew breaks for Barnet down the right, his cross to the centre is too far in front of Bishop but it comes to Nicolau whose shot is beaten away well by Gueret.
71mins - Best chance for the Dons so far but Andrews heads it wide. Diallo is forward for a free-kick and ends up teeing up Howell on the right. The full-back whips in a fantastic cross, Wilbraham can't reach it but Andrews plants his header wide from 10 yards.
70mins - Wibraham's not happy at how heavy Wright goes down after what the striker thought was a fair challenge. He gets booked for his trouble and the Dons' battle goes on. Well it looked as though he would be booked, perhaps a final warning.
66mins - Frustration is growing at the Cowshed end due to the flag of assistant referee Amy Rayner on this near side.
63mins - Second change for the Dons as Lloyd Dyer makes way for Colin Cameron. One assumes that will see Johnson go to the left flank and Cameron support Wilbraham through the centre.
62mins - Not much going Andrews' way at the moment in the battle with Josh Wright in midfield. The Dons captain lays a hand on Wright as they challenge for a loose ball and the whistle goes immediately for a free-kick.
61mins - Barnet assistant manager Ian Hendon is making his feelings clear to the referee frequently and his protests earn Barnet a free-kick right in front of their own technical area. Nothing comes of it though and the Dons look to get on the front foot again.
58mins - Here comes the change and it's Stirling making way. Wilbraham gets a great reception from the Cowshed.
56mins - Paul Ince has seen enough, Aaron Wilbraham is stripped and ready to go at the next stoppage.
52mins - Dons upping the pressure as Johnson's shot is well blocked and Howell hammers the rebound goalwards but Yakubu's intervention prevents it going in. Lewington's corner from the right is headed over by O'Hanlon from close range.
51mins - Slightly more threatening from the Dons as Howell feeds Stirling into feet and as he cushions the ball off to Wright the winger just loses the ball on the turn.
50mins - Nice disguise from Stirling as Barnet expect the long throw. He goes short to Howell and the full-back delivery is eventually scrambled away as Diallo and Andrews fight to keep it alive in the area.
47mins - Still no joy for Stirling against Yakubu as a free-kick goes against the Dons man just when he thinks he has Yakubu beaten in the air.
4.10pm - SECOND HALF KICKS OFF
4.09pm - Players are back out ready to start the second half. No changes for either side.
HALF-TIME - MK DONS 0 BARNET 1
Barnet take a lead into the break as the Dons look to solve the problem they have faced before this season: how to break down a 10-man defence.
In fairness to the Bees, they have been more positive than many visiting teams to stadiummk this season and with the busy Jason Puncheon playing in the hole, the former Don has been their main avenue of attack.
They took the lead on 21 minutes when Puncheon's low inswinging cross from the right was steered into the roof of the net by Ismail Yakubu as the Dons struggled to make headway at the other end.
Dons' returning skipper Keith Andrews has gone close with a couple of long-range strikes but Barnet have, in the main, dealt with the Dons forward line of Jude Stirling and Jemal Johnson pretty well.
With a goal in the bag and a lead to defend, Barnet could become more and more difficult to break down as the game moves on.
45mins - There'll be two minutes added as the Dons look to take something into the break. Stirling's long throw into the box from the left bounces around a bit but is eventually cleared with little fuss.
43mins - Johnson wins a free-kick 30 yards out as he persistence drives the Dons forward. Navarro and Lewington tee up the free-kick for Andrews but his shot is deep into the North Stand.
41mins - Andrews again tries the ball into the inside right channel, Navarro reaches it and tees up Howell for the cross. The full-back steps out of traffic well but his left-foot cross is cleared.
37mins - Andrews is becoming increasingly involved and as he clips a ball into the right channel for Stirling, his striker wins a throw on the right. Ball is loaded into the box and bounces off a few heads in a small pinball session as Barnet struggle to clear. When they eventually do it's Josh Wright leading a four-on-three break but it's wasted as Akurang is flagged offside.
35mins - Andrews robs the ball off Bishop in Barnet territory and carries it forward but he shows too much to Yakubu and the Barnet skipper wins the tackle. Lewington loses out to Carew at the other end and the winger takes on the shot from 20 yards, ignoring Akurang in the middle and the ball flies wasetfully wide.
31mins - Andrews given space within shooting range again, this time from a Lewington throw and he cracks a powerful shot that goes just past Beckwith's right-hand post.
29mins - Barnet again looking dangerous as Carew switches play to find Gillet running in behind Howellon the Barnet left. Gillet puts in a dangerous cross from the left that O'Hanlon puts behind for a corner.
27mins - Better from the Dons as a lovely triangle between O'Hanlon, Lewington and Navarro turns defence into attack on the halfway line. Andrews goes wide to Howell on the right, Howell comes back and Andrews' shot from 30 yards is well held by Rob Beckwith.
24mins - Dons are unhappy about the award of the initial corner as the ball looked as though it may have come off Carew last. It's in the books now though and the home side have some ground to make up.
22mins - GOAL! MK DONS 0 BARNET 1 - ISMAIL YAKUBU
Goal for Barnet and their play in this opening 20 minutes has probably merited it. Puncheon's corner from the right comes back to him and as he swings in a dangerous low ball, Akurang jumps over it and Yakubu guides the ball into the roof of the net at the far post.
20mins - Clumsy-looking trip from Diallo on the halfway line as Akurang looks to turn in behind him earns the Dons defender a booking.
18mins - Puncheon works the corner short, his delivery is mis-timed but Carew hits it on the volley as it drops out of the sky. Just wide from the edge of the area.
17mins - Stirling's going to have his work cut out up front on his own this afternoon, Yakubu is a dominant force in the air in his own right let alone with Joe Devera alongside him. Akurang has won another free-kick off O'Hanlon on the right corner of the Dons penalty area but Puncheon's delivery is headed behind by Navarro.
14mins - Excuse the pun, but Puncheon is busy as a Bee in that hole behind Akurang at the moment. He sneaks up on Andrews, robs the Dons skipper 30 yards from goal and hits a stinging left-footed drive just past the far post. Gueret didn't seem too concerned about it but it's a warning for the home side.
13mins - Johnson unlucky not to release Wright down the right. The striker shows great strength to hold off big Ismail Yakubu at his back before turning and drilling in behind Nicolau but Wright is just offside.
11mins - Dons don't quite seem to have got going yet but Navarro slides into a good challenge on Puncheon inside the centre circle to try and lift the tempo. Barnet continue to come forward though and Puncheon hits a 30-yard drive bouncing into Gueret's bread basket.
9mins - Barnet are definitely prepared to take the Dons on here and Akurang turns 25 yards out to hammer a shot just past Gueret's far post.
6mins - Puncheon looks keen to impress early on with a couple of darts at Lewington. He's shown too far wide though and can't keep the ball from running behind. First booking comes for Ashley Carew for a foul on Dyer but it's at least his second if not his third.
3mins - Decent start from the visitors who are passing the ball with patience and looking pretty comfortable in possession. They're pushing the Dons backwards at the moment but without applying a great deal of pressure. They look like they want to come and play though.
3.00pm - KICK OFF
2.45pm - The sun is shining brilliantly, it's a beautiful day at stadiummk and we're hoping for a beautiful afternoon's football to match.
The team news from the Dons' camp is that Keith Andrews returns to lead the side in midfield having missed the previous two games with a thigh strain. Jemal Johnson is given the nod to support makeshift striker Jude Stirling in attack while Colin Cameron drops to the bench.
One man looking to prove a point here this afternoon will be Barnet striker Jason Puncheon. The pacy forward was released by the Dons nearly two years ago and plays his second game in MK since his departure.
