ENGLAND CRUISE TO VICTORY
England U19 3 Russia U19 1
West Ham defender James Tomkins scored twice as England Under 19s cruised to a 3-1 win over Russia at stadiummk.
The 18-year-old starlet bagged an impressive brace for the Young Lions in front of nearly 9,000 fans from Milton Keynes, just three days after making his full Hammers debut against Everton at the weekend.
Newcastle striker Andy Carroll chipped in with a third to give the scoreline the gloss England's dominance deserved, as some of the country's best young players showcased their talent.
Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair and Reading's James Henry were in particularly dazzling form as the Russians were completely outclassed throughout.
The visitors did, however, produce the goal of the game - Evgent Pesegov's 35-yard free-kick fit to grace any stage in the world.

Chelsea's Scott Sinclair was in excellent form for England U19s at stadiummk. |
It was another great night for the national team at stadiummk, as Brian Eastwick's young guns joined the Under 21s and Women's teams in having been victorious at the home of the MK Dons.
With little defending to do, Tomkins ventured upfield to open the scoring on 21 minutes, heading home Henry's cross from the left after one of his many mazy dribbles.
Despite Sinclair terrorising the Russian defence on numerous occasions, it was the only goal of a first half Eastwick's side dominated.
Three more came in the second, all in the space of four minutes and all well-crafted.

Sone Aluko delivers a cross from the England left. |
First England bagged a second when Sone Aluko's free-kick was spilled by Russia 'keeper Valery Polyakov, allowing Tomkins to smash into the roof of the net from five yards.
Aluko's free-kick was good, but nowhere near the quality of Pesegov's two minutes later, the midfielder curling a stunning right-footed shot into the top right-hand corner to draw admiring applause from around the ground.
Carroll re-established the two-goal cushion two minutes later, calmly slotting home after a superb break down the right from Chelsea defender Jack Cork.
England: Button (Steele 46), Cork, Tomkins (Beevers 65), Clark, Obeng, Henry, Walker, Upson (Stanislas 65), Aluko, Carroll (Obadeyi 76), Sinclair (Delph 79).
