FULL-TIME - MK DONS 1 MORECAMBE 1
That's that, another season in the can but what a season. The crowd of 17,250 have respectfully stayed off the pitch and will now be treated to some celebration.

It was an even game for long periods with the Dons taking a first-half lead thanks to Aaron Wilbraham's excellent finish but Morecambe certainly created openings of their own - the best in the first half coming to Danny Adams which Willy Gueret saved.

Michael Twiss's header brought them level with 12 minutes to go to give the Shrimps a spirited point from the final game of the season.

Now for the celebrations for the Double winning MK Dons.

90+4mins - Lovely ball from Howell into the right channel for Miles. He's clear but he's looking for a cutback and when it comes it's behind Andrews and Morecambe are able to clear. The throw comes to Stirling who sends a left-foot shot out for a corner.

90+3mins - Things open up for Curtis down the Morecambe left and he finds an angle for the shot but fires it high over the bar. A real chance and a real waste.

90+2mins - Breathtaking run from Dyer as he goes past three Morecambe defenders on his way into the area but his shot is blocked by a desperate defending Bentley.

90mins - Good feet from Wilbraham on the edge of the area allows him to set up Andrews 20 yards from goal but his fierce drive is over the bar. Luke Howell is awarded Man of the Match by Match Sponsors JD Forecourts.

89mins - The crowd are ready to party as a Mexican wave breaks around the stadium. The Dons would love to cap it all with a last-minute winner.

88mins - Brace of half chances for Wright as he first steals in behind on the left to reach Miles' throughball and sees his shot blocked by Jalal and then strikes a curling effort moments later from the edge of the area that the 'keeper beats away.

86mins - Great piece of defending by Stirling as a ball over his head gives Curtis a sniff of a break, but the Dons man turns on a sixpence and leaves Curtis for dead. He's looked very more than comfortable in central defence.

84mins - Either side could win this at the moment, the Dons are coming forward looking to regain the lead but Morecambe look more than capable on the break. Should be an interesting final five.

81mins - Miles sees a shot half blocked but Wilbraham is onto it in the area, spins his man to get a sight of goal but chips over Jalal and into the side netting from a tight angle.

78mins - GOAL! MK DONS 1 MORECAMBE 1 - MICHAEL TWISS
Equaliser for the visitors and it's fair to say it's been coming in the last few minutes. Three successive set-pieces into the Dons box up the pressure and when Thompson escapes down the right, his cross to the far post is headed down by Bentley and Twiss dives to head into the roof of the net from close range.

77mins - Morecambe free-kick swings over from the right and is met by Artell at the far post, who sees his downward header pushed away by Gueret.

76mins - Mark Wright has been waiting in the technical area for an introduction for a few minutes and is imminent. He comes on to replace Jemal Johnson. O'Hanlon and Howell leave a bouncing ball to eachother 25 yards from their own goal, allowing Baker to nip in. His curling shot is beaten away by Gueret.

74mins - Howell sells Gueret a little short with a backpass and the French 'keeper has to show great feet to escape the sliding Wayne Curtis. Got away with it though.

72mins - Big shout for a penalty from Dyer as he juggles the ball over Twiss from Andrews' cross and goes down under the challenge. Mr Armstrong doesn't even acknowledge it by waving it away.

70mins - Great defending from Howell, who gets tight to Baker not allowing the Morecambe man the chance to turn, then shows the strength to win the ball back and set the Dons on another attack.

68mins - Adams booked for pulling down Dyer as he was about to turn into open space in the middle of the Morecambe half. Dons work the free-kick short, resulting in Miles dragging a shot wide from 22 yards.

66mins - Morecambe make their final change with Wayne Curtis coming on for Blinkhorn in attack.

"Paul Ince still wants more from this game, he's talking to his players, driving them forward and is still desperately wants to win this game. That's what makes him such a great manager."
Dons World summariser and Dons midfielder Paul Mitchell.

64mins - Howell is making every attempt to get forward and support Dyer on the right flank. We saw the former Gillingham man play a number of games at right-back at the turn of the year, where he impressed a great deal. He certainly looks at home in that position as much as he does in central midfield.

61mins - Lovely football from the Dons as Andrews and Navarro work it left, Lewington gets forward and cushions a lovely ball into the path of the American, who hits a powerful low drive from 25 yards that Jalal does well to hold.

59mins - Second change for Morecambe sees McLachlan replaced by Michael Twiss.

57mins - Navarro kicks the ball out of play so Blinkhorn can get some treatment after a foul by O'Hanlon in the build-up to a Morecambe attack. Advantage played and spent, referee Mr Armstrong comes back to show O'Hanlon a yellow card.

56mins - Here comes the change, it's not Navarro but Swailes who is coming off for Andrews. Stirling will go to central defence and Luke Howell will come to right-back. The reception for Andrews is absolutely fantastic. A standing ovation for both of them.

54mins - Dons are preparing Keith Andrews for an introduction as there seems to be a concern over Navarro. Head physio Simon Crampton is waiting for the ball to go out so he can get on and give Navarro so treatment.

52mins - Great corner from Lewington from the left is just too high for O'Hanlon and Swailes behind him sees his header blocked by Jalal. Morecambe clear for a corner on the right which Stirling hurls into the box and O'Hanlon climbs over everyone to thump a difficult header just over the bar.

50mins - Another little burst from Dyer in off the right, the ball breaks kindly for him and he nearly escapes into the box but Artell gets across to clear. All Dons pressure in front of the Cowshed now.

47mins - Dyer's first contribution is a taste of what we've seen all season from him. He shapes up Adams down the right before knocking the ball through and bursting past him before his low cross is cut out in the centre.

46mins - Corner from the left from Lewington is just headed away from Wilbraham at the near post and Johnson't shot is well held by Jalal.

4.09pm - SECOND HALF KICKS OFF

4.09pm - Dons make a change at the break with Dobson coming off to be replaced by Lloyd Dyer.

HALF-TIME - MK DONS 1 MORECAMBE 0
It's been a decent game in patches as we reach the break, the Dons leading through Aaron Wilbraham's 10th goal of the season five minutes before half-time.

Morecambe have shown they're not just here to make up the numbers though and have put some excellent passages of play together and created some very good chances. Garry Thompson has been a real menace operating on both flanks and Carl Baker forced a fine save from Willy Gueret early-on.

There's been something of a party atmosphere at stadiummk this afternoon and it seemed to affect the home side in the early stages, Paul Ince giving some fringe players a chance to shine as he looks to next season.

Wilbraham has been among the pick of the Dons performers and he took his chance expertly, lifting the ball over Shrimps 'keeper Shwan Jalal after Jemal Johnson's deflected shot had broken to him in the box.

Forty-five minutes before the party starts and the Dons will be keen to ensure they close the season with a win.

45+2mins - Yates' first contribution is not one to remember as he shanks a cross from the right into the Cowshed.

45mins - Four minutes of added time before the break, understandably given the two bouts of treatment McStay has needed.

41mins - McStay is going to have to come off, he's really been in the wars in the first half and he's replaced by Adam Yates.

40mins - GOAL! MK DONS 1 MORECAMBE 0 - AARON WILBRAHAM
That's the lift we were after as Wilbraham takes his total for the season to 10 goals. In fact it's his seventh goal in his last six home games. A move started by Wilbraham himself in midfield as his screen on McLachlan allows Johnson to get at the Morecambe defence. Johnson jinks and weaves to get a shot in from the edge of the box, it deflects into the path of Wilbraham inside the area and the striker calmly lifts the ball over Jalal and into the corner.

"Dons are really struggling for depth this afternoon and the bench looks a little weak as we see Keith Andrews, Lloyd Dyer and Mark Wright out warming up! Only three of the division's best players to bring on if they need it!"
Dons World summariser and Dons midfielder Paul Mitchell.

37mins - The game's in real need of a lift at the moment, the masses of Dons fans here have gone a touch quiet and need somethig to give them a lift.

35mins - Gueret cuts out a Morecambe attack and immediately throws out to Dobson on the left flank. The debutant just gets away from McStay for a moment but the Morecambe man does enough to hang on to his coat tails and tackles back.

34mins - Lewington goes in a little late on McStay, with more than a hint of frustration apparent, and is booked for his trouble Morecambe have caused more than a few problems for the Dons so far.

31mins - Running across the edge of the Dons box from left to right, Thompson slides a lovely ball out to Stanley on the right but his ball across goal is again well cut out by Gueret.

28mins - Howell is booked for jumping into Matty Blinkhorn on the edge of the Morecambe area. Looks a little harsh, especially considering that McLachlan got away with a cynical pull on Miles earlier in the half.

26mins - Lovely play between Miles and Wilbraham to give Navarro space on the edge of the area and his curling effort is deflected over for a corner.

23mins - Dobson is starting to get into the game a little more and as Wilbraham turns away superbly on the right, he tees up the winger to cross from the right. His first-time ball is a decent one but without Wilbraham's height in the centre, Bentley always looks favourite against Johnson in the air.

20mins - Another Lewington corner from the left is won in the air by Swailes but Jalal is out to collect it and launch a counter-attack. Baker breaks down the Morecambe left and tries to move inside but sees the way shut by a retreating Luke Howell, good defending.

17mins - Lewington's free-kick from right of centre shaves the top of the wall and drifts fractionally wide of the right-hand post. Lewington's delivery from the corner is superb and forces Morecambe to concede another, from which Dons concede a free-kick.

16mins - O'Hanlon misjudges a long ball forward which almost allows Blinkhorn in but the defender recovers in time to Gueret to come out and collect. Miles sets off on a break at the other end and is pulled back blatantly by McLachlan on the edge of the box.

15mins - Thompson gets the biggest cheer of the day so far as the free-kick is pulled back to him on the edge of the area and the winger lets fly with a complete airshot.

14mins - Morecambe break well through midfield again as Stanley carries them forward right of centre. He rolls it outside to McStay arriving on his right shoulder but sells his team mate a little short allowing Lewington to fly in with a very strong tackle on the edge of the box. Too strong for the referee's liking and the Shrimps have a free-kick.

12mins - Plenty going on in the opening quarter as Wilbraham wins a free-kick deep in the left corner of Morecambe's half. Lewington swings the ball over and Swailes is very close to making a good connection with his head in the middle.

10mins - Morecambe on the front foot again as Baker takes a quick free-kick crossfield to Thompson on the left. He cuts inside O'Hanlon and tries to curl a shot from the edge of the box but it's wide of the far post.

9mins - There's a real freedom about Morecambe here and after Thompson and McLachlan work some space on the right, Baker is able to put in a cross that Gueret catches well.

6mins - First little burst from Dobson down the Dons right sees him chip a decent ball in but Wilbraham is alone in the centre and Artell guides it back to Jalal. Morecambe go straight to the other end with Baker, who twists and turns away from Swailes and gets in a shot from 12 yards that Willy Gueret saves with his feet. The visitors have made a decent start here, the Dons need to be on their guard.

5mins - Stirling goes in a little late on Thompson down the Morecambe left and concedes a free-kick but nothing more.

3mins - Slightly sloppy ball from Howell sells Lewington a little short and Blinkhorn is able to cross from the Morecambe right. It drops to Hunter on the edge of the box but Navarro makes life difficult for him and Stirling hacks the ball clear of the penalty area.

1min - Lovely turn from Johnson away from McLachlan just inside the box to make space left of centre. The American's cross-come-shot is well held by Jalal in the Morecambe goal.

3.01pm - KICK-OFF
Referee Paul Armstrong gets the game underway with the Dons defending the Cowshed in the first half.

2.58pm - A really nice touch from the Morecambe players, who form a guard of honour for the League 2 champions as they emerge from the tunnel. The greeting for the Dons from the stands is something not witnessed at stadiummk before, it's absolutely fantastic.

2.56pm - There's a banner being held across a large section towards the back of the Cowshed that reads: "DOUBLE WINNERS 2008. NOW THAT'S HISTORY." That says a lot for the season we've witnessed from the Dons, it's one we'll never forget, now they'll be looking to finish the job with a win.

2.53pm - The playing surface looks in fantastic condition here, all credit must go to the groundstaff for producing a carpet-like pitch for such a fantastic occasion. There'll be no complaints from the players this afternoon, they'll be delighted to get the ball down out there. The crowd are really tuning up now, it's a pleasantly mild afternoon without a hint of wind and we should be in for something special.

2.50pm - stadiummk is filling all around us as we prepare to welcome a Club and League 2 record attendance this afternoon. They're all here to party today, let's hope their team can produce the goods one last time and make it a day to remember. It could be up to 18,000 this afternoon and it should be some atmosphere.

2.42pm - TEAM NEWS
Dons make five changes to the side that won the title at Bradford last week as Paul Ince hands a rest to some and a chance to shine to others. Keith Andrews, Lloyd Dyer and Mark Wright are all left on the bench while Luke Howell, John Miles, Jemal Johnson and January signing Craig Dobson start. Sean O'Hanlon returns to defence in place of Carl Regan and captains the team in Andrews' absence.

Morecambe make two changes to the team that lost to Lincoln last week with Shwan Jalal entering the fray in goal and Fraser McLachlan coming into midfield. The Shrimps are expected to line up in a 4-5-1 formation with striker Matty Blinkhord leading the line and captain Jim Bentley playing at the heart of the defence alongside David Artell.

2.22pm - Welcome to a rapidly-filling stadiummk for the final day of the 2007/08 season, and the crowning glory to a fantastic campaign for MK Dons.

There's little more than pride riding on today's game, but both teams will be desperate to finish the season on a high and, for the Dons, they won't want their title party spoiled by a defeat.

After the action on the pitch, the team will be presented with the League 2 championship trophy to go alongside the Johnstone's Paint Trophy from a fantastic year, and celebrate with a record attendance at stadiummk. Kick off is at 3.00pm.
