INCE MAKES IT AN APRIL DOUBLE
Dons manager Paul Ince has been named Coca-Cola's League 2 Manager of the Month for April.
The Dons boss was confirmed as the winner by Chris Kamara on Sky Sports News on Thursday afternoon, after guiding his team through the month unbeaten and on to the League 2 title.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill, Stockport manager Jim Gannon and Hereford boss Graham Turner were also nominated.
Ince's award completes an April double for the Dons, after striker Aaron Wilbraham was named Powerade Player of the Month earlier this week.
It's the third time Ince has been recognised with the award this term, having previously won it both for October and December.
The Dons won four and drew three of their final seven games of the season, stretching their unbeaten run to 18 games in the process.
They were eventually crowned League 2 champions by five points from second-placed Peterborough, adding the title to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in Ince's first full season in management.
Chairman of the Manager of the Month panel Chris Kamara said: "Paul Ince has enjoyed a fantastic season at MK Dons. They have been the form side for much of the season in League 2 and entered the final few weeks of the campaign as firm favourites to land the title.
"Their undefeated month saw them fend off the challenge of nearest rivals Peterborough United and lift the League 2 crown last weekend."
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray was the winner of the Championship award while Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood scooped the League 1 gong.
