EDDS BIDS DONS FAREWELL
Gareth Edds bid an emotional farewell to MK Dons as his four incredible years in Milton Keynes came to an end.
And the fans' favourite has left the door open to make a spectacular return to the Club he loves in the future.
The Australian midfielder, 27, will be a free agent from June 1 after his contract was not renewed by the Dons at the end of a season plagued by injury.
But the former Bradford and Nottingham Forest man said he will take nothing but great memories from his time in MK.
He told mkdons.com: "It's sad it's had to end after four years, I've had a great time in Milton Keynes and I love the Club.
"There are a lot of people I need to thank for making my time here so enjoyable, not least the fans who have been absolutely brilliant to me since the day I got here.
"The Club will always have a place in my heart and I'm going to miss playing for them.
"Given the chance, I'd love to come back and play for the Club again. You never know what might happen in the future and you never say never in football. I'd love to come back at any level.
"I can't say enough about how what a great time I've had here. I've made some great friends, met some fantastic people and MK Dons will definitely be the first result I look out for wherever I am.
"The Chairman has been fantastic to me over the last four years, as have the likes of John Cove and everyone who works for the Club, doing the nitty gritty day-in, day-out.
"They all deserve the success the Club's enjoyed this season for the years of hard work they've put in."
Scorer of some of the Club's most important goals, Edds produced one of the most iconic moments in the Dons' short history when his late volley against Tranmere ensured survival in 2005.

Eddsy's goal against Tranmere in 2005 went down in Dons folklore. |
And Sydney-born Edds says it's a moment he'll never forget.
He said: "That goal meant as much to me as it did to the fans and giving them so much pleasure that day is something I will never forget.
"But for every memory I might have given the fans, they've given me twice as many in return.
"Everyone knows the Club's potential to do something special and the supporters deserve the chance to see just that."
