Former Don Gareth Edds has today agreed a two-year deal with League 1 rivals Tranmere Rovers.

Having spent four years in Milton Keynes, Eddsy was released by the Dons three weeks ago at the end of a season where injury restricted him to just 11 appearances.

A firm favourite with the stadiummk fans, the 27-year-old's finest hour in a Dons shirt famously came against Rovers in 2005, when his double on the final day of the season kept the Dons in League 1.

The Australian's switch to Prenton Park will see him reform an old alliance with former Dons team mate Ben Chorley, who joined the Wirral outfit last summer.

Everyone at the Dons wishes Eddsy the best of luck with his new club.
